James Moses

James Moses joined the UAB Baseball staff in the fall of 2026. Moses spent the 2026 summer season as an Assistant Coach for the Tarboro River Bandits in the Old North State League, where the club went 39-5 and won the Tidewater Division Regular Season Title. The team slashed .348/.464/.547 as a group with 103 doubles, 11 triples and 54 home runs, and stole 197 bases in 44 games.

In 2025, Moses opened Moses Strength, a strength and conditioning gym in Madison, Alabama.

Playing Career
Moses played independent baseball for the Utica Unicorns of the USPBL in 2023, appearing in the outfield and slashed .231/.328/.269 in 20 games.

Moses played collegiately at Towson University, earning All-CAA Second Team honors in 2023 after batting .316 with 49 runs scored, 10 doubles, a triple, four home runs and 20 RBI. His 20 stolen bases that season are tied for ninth all-time in program history, and his 40 career walks are tied for sixth all-time at Towson. He was also named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

In 2022, Moses started 51 of 52 games as Towson's primary right fielder, hitting .261 with two home runs, 20 RBI and 33 runs scored while ranking second on the team in both walks (30) and doubles (10).

Before Towson, Moses played at Lamar Community College in 2020 and 2021, hitting .304 with eight home runs, nine doubles, 46 RBI and 11 steals in 2021. He spent the 2018 season at CCBC Dundalk, batting .253 with two home runs and six stolen bases.
