Jaxon Hunter joined the staff as a Graduate Assistant in May 2023.
Hunter, a native of Trussville, comes to Southside after a successful playing career at Auburn Montgomery. He helped the Warhawks to the school's second-ever postseason berth as an NCAA Division II member as the No. 6 seed in the 2023 Gulf South Conference tournament.
Of the court, he was instrumental in the marketing and promotion of all 11 of the Warhawks athletic teams. Additionally, he served as a social media intern and a game day operations assistant.
Academically, Hunter is a four-time honoree of the Gulf South Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. He graduated from Auburn Montgomey with a bachelor's degree in sports management earlier this month.
He will be pursing his Master of Business Administration degree.
