Carrie Callahan joined the UAB women's basketball staff in June 2021 as a graduate assistant.
Callahan comes to Birmingham after being a two-sports student-athlete, playing basketball and lacrosse at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
On the court, Callahan helped lead Cornell to an eight-game improvement from 2018-19 to 2019-20 as the Rams earned a berth in the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Tournament semifinals.
On the field, Callahan was named the Rams' Most Improved Player her senior season and was a member of the 2021 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll as well as the 2021 Academic All-Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Team.
She graduated from Cornell with a with a degree in exercise science and is currently pursuing her MBA at UAB.
