Parents are Tisha and Delino DeShields. She has two brothers, Delino Jr. and D’Angelo, and two sisters, Diamond and Delaney. Her mother was an All-American track & field athlete (heptathlon, 1991) at Tennessee. Her father played 13 years of Major League Baseball with stints in Montréal Expos, LA Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles and Chicago Cubs. Her brother, Delino, Jr., was selected by the Houston Astros with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2010 MLB draft and has played for Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. Diamond currently plays with the Phoenix Mercury and was the No. 3 overall selection by the Chicago Sky in the 2018 WNBA draft, where she played four years before being traded to Phoenix.
