Kevin Garver enters his third overall season at UAB and his second season as Pass Game Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach in 2026 after joining the Blazers as a Senior Offensive Analyst in 2024.
Garver, who won Super Bowl LV as Tampa Bayβs wide receivers coach in 2021, assumed leadership of UABβs wide receivers room prior to the 2025 season. In his first year coaching the position group, Iverson Hooks earned Second Team All-American Conference honors after leading the Blazers with 72 receptions for 927 yards and seven touchdowns. Brandon Hawkins Jr. also eclipsed 500 receiving yards, finishing with 41 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns.
In 2024, Garver worked closely with the receivers as a senior offensive analyst. The unit accounted for 64.4 percent of UABβs receptions (183 of 284) and 19 of the teamβs 24 receiving touchdowns.
A Birmingham native, Garver served as Tampa Bayβs wide receivers coach from 2019-22 and helped the Buccaneers capture Super Bowl LV with a 31-9 victory over Kansas City. During his tenure, he coached Mike Evans to four consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons as Evans totaled 288 receptions for 4,322 yards and 41 touchdowns.
Prior to Tampa Bay, Garver spent six seasons with the Arizona Cardinals from 2013-18. He began as an offensive quality control coach before being promoted to wide receivers coach for the 2018 season, where he worked alongside future Pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald.
Garver began his coaching career at Alabama as a student assistant from 2007-09 before serving as a graduate assistant from 2010-11 and an offensive analyst in 2012. During his time in Tuscaloosa, he was part of three national championship teams.
A graduate of Oak Mountain High School, Garver earned his bachelorβs degree in business marketing from Alabama in 2009 and a masterβs degree in business marketing in 2011.
Garver and his wife, Julie, have a son, Jackson, and two daughters, Savannah and Brooklyn.
