UAB Athletic Department has made the decision to transition exclusively to mobile ticketing for all ticketed athletic events, beginning with the 2020 football season. Mobile ticketing is the safest, quickest, most cost efficient and sanitary way for you to receive your season or single game tickets.
UAB Athletics has offered mobile ticketing the past three years for football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball and has seen a dramatic increase in the number of fans utilizing mobile tickets. Mobile ticketing and contactless entry have become the norm in college athletics and we are excited to exclusively use this technology.
In addition to eliminating the physical touching concerns that are prevalent at this time, mobile ticketing will reduce frequent issues related to paper tickets, including theft, shipping delays, tickets lost in transit and the need for an early confirmation of a shipping address. Other advantages feature the ability for ticket purchasers to easily transfer tickets via mobile phone.
Beginning with the fall sports of the 2020 academic year, UAB Athletics will move to all digital or digital tickets. This is the page to go to for your questions and information on the transition to digital.
On this page, there are FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), Step By Step instructions on adding your tickets to your wallet, how to easily transfer tickets, screenshots and videos on how to best utilize your digital tickets.
Important note: Once you receive your tickets from the ticket office, please add them to your wallet. This helps you because if there are time changes, they will adjust if the ticket is in your wallet. Also, in the event of connectivity issues on game day your ticket will be there and ready for use with no need for WIFI access.

Why are we moving to digital ticketing?
Digital ticketing will provide a safe and contactless environment for our fans upon entry. Digital ticketing will also reduce the risk of lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets while providing the ability to easily manage, transfer, or sell your tickets at any time.
How does digital ticket delivery work?
You will simply receive an email with a link to download your tickets. While on your smartphone, you will click the link for the desired game, you will then be prompted to add the tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay Wallet. You’re now ready to go for gameday!
How do I ensure that I can access my tickets on gameday via my smartphone?
We HIGHLY recommend that you add all your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay Wallet prior to gameday. This will prevent you from having to deal with connectivity issues at the gate as the tickets will be stored in your digital wallet.
Can I have multiple tickets on my smartphone for entry?
Yes, if your group is entering the stadium together, you can have all your tickets on your smartphone. You will simply swipe to pull up the tickets individually and scan.
What if my entire group isn’t with me when I’m ready to enter?
Transfer tickets to your group in advance – so you don’t have to wait to get into the event. Since each person entering will need a ticket to enter, you can transfer each member of your group their ticket individually prior to arrival. You can transfer your tickets to each guest through your online account on UABSports.com. We recommend completing transfers at least 24 hours prior to the game, but it can be done up until two hours before kickoff.
What if I have many tickets and I want to issue them to my guest(s) ahead of gameday?
A benefit of mobile ticketing is the ability to manage your tickets online and transfer them to your guests electronically. You have the flexibility to transfer specific seat locations to one game or multiple games in one transaction. The recipient will receive an email with a link to accept and download their tickets.
Can I print out the QR code and use for admission?
No. Mobile tickets must be scanned off a smartphone for entry.
What about student guest tickets?
Student guest tickets can be purchased at the UAB Athletics Ticket Office and on gamedays. Student Guests will be given the option between traditional tickets and mobile delivery. A UAB Student must be present to show their valid UAB Student ID.
Can I still print my tickets from home?
The printable PDF option will only be available on a single game basis. Beginning with the 2020 season, UAB Football and Men’s Basketball season tickets will no longer include a printable PDF option.
What if connectivity/mobile services are unavailable?
To ensure seamless entry, we highly recommend downloading your tickets to your phone before arriving to the game. If you have an iPhone, you can store your tickets in your Apple Wallet. Android users can store their tickets in their Google Pay Wallet.
What If I have additional questions regarding Mobile Tickets?

Season ticket holders who have purchased directly through the UAB Athletics Ticket Office will have the option of a refund if for any reason the 2020 football schedule is affected in any way.
