• 1978 - UAB volleyball program is born under the leadership of Susan Cook.
• 1990 - UAB wins the Sun Belt championship in its final year of competition in the league.
• 1991 - The Blazers win a school record 33 matches en route to a Great Midwest Championship
• 1992 - Judy Sackfield takes over as the third head coach of the Blazers, winning the Great Midwest championship in her first season.
• 1992 - Tammy Robertson breaks the NCAA record for career assists, finishing her four-year tenure with 6,650.
• 2006 - Kerry Messersmith named the seventh head coach of the Blazers.
• 2006 - UAB wins its first-ever Conference USA Tournament title to earn the program's first-ever bid in to the NCAA Division I Tournament.
• 2006 - Ivana Bozic becomes the first Blazer to garner AVCA All-America honorable mention recognition.
