Kylie Murphy is in her second season with UAB Athletic Communications where she serves as the primary contact for the women’s basketball, cross country and men’s tennis team while also serving as the secondary contact for football.
Prior to her time with the Blazers, Murphy worked as a graduate assistant in Troy’s media relations department. Murphy served as the primary contact for the men’s basketball team, cross country and track and field teams while also assuming various roles as the secondary football contact. During her time with the Trojans, Murphy promoted 2015 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, Wesley Person.
While working on her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina, Murphy worked as a student assistant in the media relations office for over two years. Murphy assisted the staff with numerous Gamecock events, historical records and helped design and edit media guides.
Murphy’s work earned her the opportunity to serve as the men’s tennis contact her senior year. Murphy also assisted the SEC staff at the 2014 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, the 2013 and 2014 SEC Basketball Media Days and the 2016 SEC Baseball Tournament.
Murphy received her Masters of Sport and Fitness degree in 2016 from Troy. A native of Manalapan, New Jersey, Murphy received her undergraduate degree in mass communications and information studies in 2014 from the University of South Carolina.
