Alec Bartow joined the UAB Athletics Department in December of 2016 as the Associate Director of Development. In his role, Bartow focuses on managing all aspects of donor relations including annual fund renewals, stewardship and the coordination of Blazer Boosters communication efforts. In addition, Bartow assists in driving new memberships to grow the annual fund and manages the Blazer Boosters Gift-In-Kind program.
Bartow joined the Blazers after working at Bristol Motor Speedway since 2015. He supported the Corporate Sales and Marketing Department during Bristol's Biggest Year Ever. Bartow assisted with the daily operations leading into each event and worked with local and regional businesses to ensure fulfillment of sponsorship packages.
A native of Birmingham, Bartow graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Sports Management. During his time at ETSU, he assisted the development office as an intern and the men's basketball program as a student manager.
Bartow is married to the former Kacy Wiley of Johnson City, TN.
