UAB Places 84 Student-Athletes On Conference USA Honor Roll

CHICAGO ----- A total of 1,665 student-athletes have earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2002-03 academic year, Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced Wednesday.
Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and participate in a conference-sponsored sport.
UAB alone had 84 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2002-03 academic year. UAB had 98 student-athletes receive the recognition during the 2001-02 academic year.
Student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above also receive the Commissioner's Academic Medal. Those winners will be released on Thursday, May 29.
