UAB Athletic Training To Host Free Seminar Saturday, March 8

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The University of Alabama at Birmingham Athletic Training Department, in conjunction with the Alabama Athletic Trainers' Association, will be hosting a free seminar on athletic training in high school sports this Saturday, March 8.
The seminar will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the UAB Children's Hospital (Harbor Center - 4th Floor).
The athletic training seminar will focus on high school athletics and provide a better understanding of the sports medicine profession and how it affects athletes. High school coaches are encouraged to attend to learn more about the importance of an emergency action plan, inclement weather problems, hydration and nutrition tips, proper warm-up/cool down and various other sports medicine issues.
