AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2022):
2022 Conference USA All-Tournament Team…Was 16-13 overall in 2022 mainly on courts two and three…Won 10 of her final 13 matches…Was 13-5 overall with teammate Arden Copping…Top wins came over Florida Atlantic, Tulane, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (x2), Coastal Carolina, ULM (x2).
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (COVID SEASON 2021):
Played to an overall record of 12-13 with all of her matches coming on court one with teammate Rachel Tam...Top wins came over Tulane (twice) and Florida Gulf Coast...Was 7-5 in three set matches.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2020):
Was 1-2 overall before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19...Missed the first two tournaments of the year due to injury before returning to action at TCU...All three of her matches came on court one with a win over Missouri State and losses No. 15 TCU and No. 1 LSU.
PRIOR TO UAB (2019):
Played one season of indoor volleyball at Brock University in Ontario...Started every match and helped the Badgers to a 13-7 overall record.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Was a three-time Provisional Champion, three-time Provisional Medalist, three-time Beach Volleyball National Medalist and a two-time indoor National Medalist...Was her high school's MVP four straight years (2014-18) and has been a member of Team Ontario Beach since 2016...Represented Canada at the U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships...Won the FISU World University Games Qualifier and was supposed to represent Canada at the FISU World University Championships in Spain in June of 2020 but it was canceled due to COVID-19.
PERSONAL:
Daughter of Mark Heese and Janet Law...Has three siblings, brothers Mitchell and Markus and sister Maddie...Dad was a three-time beach volleyball Olympian for Canada and won the Bronze Medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
