Blazers Set to Compete at Conference USA Championships

The Blazers open tournament play Thursday at 10 a.m. CT against No. 7 seed UTEP (7-19, 3-4). UAB opened the 2025 Conference USA Championship against the Miners, earning a 3-2 victory, and holds a 5-0 advantage in the all-time series. The most recent meeting came March 28 in Clearwater, Florida, where UAB secured a 5-0 win. The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner between No. 3 seed FIU and No. 6 seed Missouri State.
UAB enters the tournament on a 14-match winning streak. The Blazers went 2-2 in last year's championship, earning wins over UTEP and Missouri State before falling to No. 16 Florida Atlantic and Florida International. In 2023, UAB reached the semifinals for the first time in program history. The Blazers hold a 7-8 all-time record in the championship since joining Conference USA in 2022 and have won at least one match in each appearance.
All matches will be streamed live on ESPN+. The championship match is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 25.
