Beebe Named American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM – Sophomore running back/kick returner Solomon Beebe has been named the American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his standout performance against Akron.
Beebe had UAB's first kickoff return for a touchdown since 2019 as he took the opening kick back 96 yards for a score. He finished the game with 154 kickoff return yards and 190 all-purpose yards, both of which were career highs.
Beebe is having an outstanding start to the 2025 season as he ranks second nationally in kickoff return yards (303) and third nationally in all-purpose yards per game (165.3). Beebe has 72 rushing yards, 121 receiving yards and 303 kickoff return yards for a total of 496 total yards.
This is Beebe's first career American Conference honor and the first for UAB this season.
Beebe and the Blazers head to Knoxville this Saturday, Sept. 20, for a game at No. 15 Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET/11:45 a.m. CT on SEC Network.
