Women’s Golf Places 11th at AAC Championship

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team placed 11th overall at the American Athletic Conference Championship this week in Brooksville, Fla.
The Blazers were led by Zoe Hobbs, who tied for 23rd overall and shot a one-over in the final round. Chloe Ruble was UAB's second-highest finisher, who shot an even first round.

As a team, UAB shot +57 (310-304-307 = 921). Tulsa won the championship, shooting 12-under as a team. Romaine Masserey (Tulsa) won the individual championship, shooting -7.
SEASON RECAP: In their second season in the AAC, the Blazers went 35-88, highlighted by breaking the record for the lowest round in program history (283) at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. UAB was led by Brooke Wagner, who had two top-five finishes (Hoover Invite and Samford Head-to-Head) and four rounds at or under par.
