Blazers Compete in Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA - UAB Track & Field competed in the Crimson Tide Invitational hosted by Alabama this weekend in Tuscaloosa.
Olivia Beard and Hope Foster each jumped 1.60m in the High Jump.
In the 400m race, Leticia Quingostas finished with a time of 56.09. That time is tied for the 10th best Outdoor 400m time in school history (Rachel Harley, 2009).
Freshmen Noelle Hambrick and Victoria Freeland each finished with a mark of 3.58m in the Pole Vault.
Regina Harris finished the 800m in 2:15.71. Harris missed her PR by two seconds.
Sangie Lincoln-Velez clocked a time of 4:33.12 in the 1500m which is her new personal best. Lincoln-Velez just missed the 10th fastest Outdoor 1500m time in UAB history by less than one second.
The Blazer 4x400 team of Leticia Quingostas, Jasmine Dereje, Nessa Duren, and Gabby Washington finished the race in 3:47.92.
The Blazers return to action next weekend as they split the team once again. The Green and Gold compete in the Wake Forest Invite on Friday and the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Complete meet schedule and information will be posted at a later time.
