Haas and Stant Earn Conference USA Pair of the Week

BIRMINGHAM – UAB's Court 1 pair of Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant have been named the Conference USA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, as announced by league officials on Tuesday.
The Blazers' top duo had a 3-1 weekend in Arizona which included a pair of nationally ranked wins over No. 13 Grand Canyon and No. 19 Washington. Their third win came against CUSA opponent UTEP.
Haas and Stant are now 15-5 this season with all their matches coming on Court 1. Along with Grand Canyon and Washington, other top wins have come over South Carolina, Tulane, Georgia State, Tampa and North Alabama.
The win against Grand Canyon was Haas' 50th career Court 1 win, making her the only player in school history with 50+ wins on Court 1. Just midway through her junior season, she has a career record of 56-29.
Stant is now 42-31 for her career and is four wins away from cracking UAB's Top 10 for career victories. The duo is seven wins away from setting the single season Court 1 wins record, which Haas established last year with 21.
The Blazers head to Myrtle Beach this coming weekend for the Chanticleer Challenge where they will face College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Lynchburg and UNC Wilmington.
