Men’s Tennis Falls to Georgia Southern on Sunday

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis (4-8) fell to Georgia Southern (8-5) on Sunday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Complex.

The Eagles were able to get the doubles point with wins on Court Two and Court Three to get the early advantage over the Blazers.

1. Laurent Julia Calac/Aaron James Williams (GS) vs. Noah Malige/Georgios Nouchakis (UAB) 5-4, unfinished
2. Pierre Mouesca/Dimitris Paliouras (GS) def. Jake Anthony/Ondrej Valek (UAB) 6-4
3. Pol del Castillo/Matthew Mitchell (GS) def. Conor Flynn/Hoan Mouret (UAB) 6-2

In singles play, Conor Flynn was the only Blazer to earn a victory on Sunday. He was able to make quick work of his opponent on Court Four. Jake Anthony pushed his opponent on Court Six to a third set but he was unable to get the win.
