Women’s Golf Hosts Bama Beach Bash, Places Ninth

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team hosted the Bama Beach Bash over the past three days in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Blazers placed ninth and were led by Brooke Wagner.
Leading the Blazers for the third time this season, Wagner placed 16th overall after shooting nine birdies over three rounds. Following Wagner was UAB's highest-placing individual, Grace Sinclair, who shot a five-over in her last round. Ceci Lococo was the Blazers' next finisher, leading the Blazers in the first round with a four-over.

As a team, the Blazers shot +76 (311-305-324 = 940). They also were the third best in par-4 scoring average, shooting a 4.42. Iowa State won the tournament, shooting a five-under in the third round.
UP NEXT: The Blazers will next compete in the Pinetree Women's Collegiate, a two-day tournament that begins on March 24th. The tournament is hosted by Kennesaw State and takes place in Kennesaw, Ga.
