Bowling Sets Highest Tournament Average since 2020

ST. LOUIS- The Blazers finished in fifth at the Maryville Saints Invitational. The Blazers averaged 205.2 for the weekend, setting the program's highest average for a tournament in over 4 years.
UAB started the weekend strong with a 4-0 record on day one of the competition. The Blazers defeated No.13 McKendree University in the opening match 1147-1008.
In traditional play, Blazers fell to No.9 Maryville in the opening match on day two but went on to win the next two matches against the University of Indiana and Newman University. UAB finishes in 5th place at the end of day two.
UAB begins bracket play with a tough loss against No.11 Sacred Heart University. The Blazers go on to win the next two matches against No.16 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and No.9 Maryville University.
Madison Colston finished in 3rd place in overall total pinfall with an average of 235.80. This will be Colston's third all-tournament team achievement of the year. Victoria Cobos, Madelynn Oliva, Savannah Schneider, and Jordan Shipp also ended in the top 50.
UP NEXT
The UAB bowling team heads to Jonesboro, Ark., to compete at the Mid-Winter Invitational Hosted by Arkansas State University. This tournament will be held on February 14-16.
