Green and Gold Open The Season at JSU Foothills Invitational

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB Cross Country team opens their season at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama on Friday, August 30th at the Foothills Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State. The women's 5K race will begin at 6:15.
Head Coach Travis Pope enters his second season at UAB. The Green and Gold finished third in the event last year, with Oxford native Katie Keur finishing eighth overall. Additionally, Kyra Hayes finished 17th and Lia Castillo finished 21st.
Transfers Kenlie Nelson (AUM) and Lia Ganley (Louisville) bring solid experience as true freshmen Hannah Stevens and Kaitlyn Wende look to add strength to the lineup in their collegiate debuts.
The field features some talented teams in Alabama, Auburn, Samford, Troy, and several others. The meet will show live results on Xpress Timing.
