Zeno Named to Manning Award Watch List

BIRMINGHAM – UAB starting quarterback Jacob Zeno has been named to the Manning Award Watch List, which is presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Zeno is one of 29 quarterbacks named to the watch list, and the winner will be selected by a voting panel, which includes national media and each of the Mannings, after the postseason.
The San Antonio native was also recently named to the Davey O'Brien Award Watch List and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List, and should once again compete as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation.
Zeno has the highest completion percentage in the nation of any returning quarterback from last season after a 2023 campaign where he completed 73.6 percent of his passes. He finished second nationally in that category last year only behind Bo Nix who has since graduated.
Zeno looks to break more records this season and led the Blazers to a school record of 450.0 yards per game last year. His 279 completions were the most ever in a single season at UAB and he finished second in single season passing yards with 3,126.
