Women's Golf Adds Anna Douglass to Coaching Staff

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Jesse Lawley and the UAB women's golf team have announced the hiring of assistant coach Anna Dounglass to the staff. Douglass was most recently a golf professional at Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills.
Douglass had this to say about being added to the Blazers coaching staff: "It is an honor to be joining the UAB Women's Golf Program. I would like to thank Coach Lawley and the University for this incredible opportunity. I look forward to working with Coach Lawley to continue to build on the current success of the program and to plan for continued success into the future. My family and I are looking forward to being part of the Blazer family."
Douglass attended LPGA Qualifying Series (Q school) and qualified to become a Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour) player after her collegiate career at Western Michigan University. She started her coaching career at her alma mater St. Joseph's High School. Douglass went on to grab her first collegiate job at St. Mary's College in Indiana. She graduated in 2018 with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Holistic Health and Wellness.
Head Coach Jesse Lawley had this to say about the new hire: "I am so excited to bring Anna on to our coaching staff. She was a perfect fit! She had a stellar amateur and professional career before becoming a club professional here locally at Old Overton. I have no doubt she will bring a skill set that compliments mine to continue to grow and help our women's golf program flourish. She is excited to officially become a part of the Blazer family!"
The women's golf team will start there 2024-25 campaign in September.
