Tejhaun Palmer Drafted by Arizona Cardinals in 6th Round

BIRMINGHAM – UAB wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 6th round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.
Palmer becomes the 18th player in program history to be selected in the NFL Draft and the Blazers have now had one player chosen in each of the last four NFL Drafts.
Palmer had 47 catches for 858 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior in 2023. His 858 yards were the seventh most single season yards in school history. For his career, Palmer finished with 83 catches for 1,409 yards and nine touchdowns. His receiving yards rank him 10th in school history.
Palmer joins his former UAB teammate Starling Thomas V in Arizona. Thomas played in 12 games for the Cardinals as a rookie last season and started the final eight games at cornerback.
Arizona selected Palmer as the 191st overall pick and he joins a Cardinals draft class that includes WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (Ohio State), EDGE Darius Robinson (Missouri), CB Max Melton (Rutgers), RB Trey Benson (Florida State), OT Isaiah Adams (Illinois), TE Tip Reiman (Illinois), CB Elijah Jones (Boston College), S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Texas Tech), EDGE Xavier Thomas (Clemson) and OT Christian Jones (Texas).
