Copping and Haas Named Conference USA Pair of the Week

BIRMINGHAM – UAB's Court 1 pair of Arden Copping and Jasmine Haas have been named the Conference USA pair of the Week, as announced by league officials on Wednesday.
Copping and Haas had a record-setting win at Tulane last Saturday to conclude the regular season and enter the postseason as the most decorated duo in program history.
The pair has played every match on Court 1 this season and tallied their 21st victory over Tulane. At 21-9 overall, they set the UAB single season record for most wins by a pair, which is also the new mark for most single season Court 1 wins, surpassing Rachel Tam and Adriana Pereira who had 20 in 2022.
With two more victories, Copping and Haas will set the overall single season wins record which is currently held by Brooke Pertuit who had 22 wins last year and Ella Alexander who had 22 wins in 2022.
Copping is the winningest player in school history with 70 career victories, while Haas is the winningest Court 1 player in program history. Just a sophomore, Haas has tallied 35 of her 41 career wins on Court 1.
Copping looks to make it a third straight season being named to the Conference USA All-Tournament Team this week in Louisiana as UAB opens postseason play on Thursday against Tulane. Both Copping and Haas were selected to the All-Tournament Team last year and were both 2023 First Team All-Conference USA selections as well. This year's All-Conference selections will be announced after the conference tournament.
