Women's Golf Finishes 14th at The Ally

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team placed 14th on Wednesday at The Ally hosted by Mississippi State at the Old Waverly Golf Course.
Brooke Wagner led the Blazers, tying for 36th place at +8 overall (73-74-77 = 224). She was two strokes ahead of UAB's next finisher, Zoe Hobbs, who set a career-low 54-hole score of 226 (76-76-74, +10, T45).
Following Hobbs was Grace Sinclair, who tied for 57th overall (76-74-79 = 229, +13). Lauren Gilchrist (84-78-75 = 237, +21) placed in a tie for 76th overall, while Chloe Ruble tied for 81st (81-80-79 = 240, +24). Rounding out the Blazers was Tais Moreno, who placed 88th as an individual (80-86-79 = 245, +29).
Overall, the Blazers shot 306-302-305 = 913 (+49).
The Blazers return to action at The Judson hosted by Southern Miss on Oct. 28-29.
