UAB Football Jersey Schedule: UAB Benevolent Fund – Green

BIRMINGHAM – Coach Dilfer and the Blazers have dedicated their entire season to helping and recognizing people and organizations in need. Along with raising awareness and funds for Children's Harbor and Smile-A-Mile, UAB's third new home uniform is a sleek green jersey that will benefit the UAB Benevolent Fund.
Green Jersey Schedule:
Aug. 31 – North Carolina A&T
Nov. 18 – Temple
For almost four decades, the UAB Benevolent Fund has made a difference in the lives of UAB employees and members of our surrounding community.
Founded in 1984, the organization's mission is "to better our community by providing support to UAB employees in need and local nonprofits." Today, the organization helps Blazers in need through a food pantry and emergency grants to employees, in addition to providing financial support and other resources to local nonprofits.
Last year alone, UAB employees' charitable giving donated roughly $1.7 million to local nonprofits, while the remaining funds went towards helping UAB employees in need.
Through a partnership with the UAB Bookstore, UAB's green uniforms will be available to purchase at the end of the season and all proceeds will be given to the UAB Benevolent Fund. More information on how to purchase these jerseys will be released at a later date.
The new-look green jersey feature a white stripe down the collar bone of the uniform, while the numbers are now in white as opposed to gold on the previous uniform.
UAB is 20 days away from opening the season on Aug. 31 at Protective Stadium against North Carolina A&T. Season and single game tickets are on sale by clicking here, while a special 2 for $23 ticket offer for the first game only is available here.
