Crane, Turner and Roberts Return as Broadcast Crew for 2023 Season

BIRMINGHAM – Headlined by longtime play-by-play announcer David Crane, UAB's broadcasting team ventures into its second year together entering the 2023 UAB Football season.
The Voice of the Blazers, Crane is entering his 17th year on the call. Crane has handled play-by-play duties since 2007 and has been on the call for some of the most memorable games and plays throughout the last two decades.
Returning for his second season as the color analyst is Bryant Turner Jr., a former UAB football standout and a retired Canadian football defensive lineman. WJOX personality Landrum Roberts rounds out the broadcast crew as he also enters his second season with the Blazers handling sideline reporting.
Fans can listen to UAB football all season long on 94.5 WJOX with Landrum Roberts once again serving as host of the pregame show that airs one hour prior to kickoff.
Coach Trent Dilfer's weekly radio show, Blazer Sportsline, returns to the Southside Buffalo Wild Wings every Monday night during the 2023 season. The hour-long program airs every week throughout the season at 6 p.m. on 100.5 JOX2 and is hosted by Crane. The first show of the year airs Monday, Aug. 28, three days before kicking off the season against North Carolina A&T at Protective Stadium.
The Blazers are less than three weeks away from opening the season on Aug. 31 at Protective Stadium against North Carolina A&T at 7 p.m. Season and single game tickets are on sale by clicking here, while a special 2 for $23 ticket offer for the first game only is available here.
