DALLAS – Trinity Fellows received a nod from Conference USA for her contributions out of uniform as she was announced a C-USA Winter Spirit of Service Award recipient. The Conference Office recognized fellows as one of 11 athletes to receive the honor on Thursday afternoon.
"Congratulations to Trinity. She has a heart for giving back," said head coach Kurt Thomas. "You can see it in how she relates to her teammates, gets along with everyone, and her sheer work ethic."
Fellows, a sophomore, is well known for her contributions as an athlete. Her jump of 3.60m in pole vault during the indoor season was the fifth-best overall in UAB Program history. She has continued her efforts in the outdoor circuit where she's continued her high marks.
Out of uniform, Fellows is a contributor to the community and UAB as well. Logging over 40 community service hours in 25 events, she has been a major force and face in the servant leadership category. Academically, she's maintained a perfect GPA of 4.0, studying mass communications and journalism. Fellows has also earned C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recognition.
"She's an amazing example of a true student-athlete. We're very proud of her."
