UAB Women’s Adds Mia Moore to Roster

BIRMNGHAM – UAB women's basketball head coach Randy Norton has announced that Mia Moore has transferred into the program.
Moore comes to UAB after spending the last two seasons at Mississippi State. She missed her freshman year with an injury and played in four games this past season.
"Mia is a combo guard that is super explosive and can create shots for herself and her teammates. She brings a tenacity on defense and loves to stir things up by turning the opponents over to create extra opportunities on offense," said Norton.
A four star out of St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, Ga., Moore was ranked as the No. 52 player in the country her senior season by Prospects Nation.
While at St. Francis, she led the Knights to back-to-back Georgia A Private Girls championship appearances while averaging 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.8 steals per game her senior season.
"Mia excels in the classroom, is of the highest character and will be a great addition to our team on and off the court," added Norton.
