Rifle Places Fourth at SoCon Championships to Wrap Up 2022-23 Season

CHARLESTON, S.C. – UAB Rifle finished the 2022-23 season at the SoCon Championships this weekend, placing fourth out of eight teams. Amy Kohan and Gracie Turk each finished with second team All-SoCon recognition in Smallbore and Air Rifle, respectively.
The Blazers finished with a score of 4572 in the team competition, recording a 2263 in smallbore and a 2309 in air rifle. Georgia Southern took the overall team competition with a score of 4657.
Claire Vonderau was UAB's top performer during the conference championships, finishing with a score of 1152, including a personal best of 585 in air rifle. Her personal best score was good enough to help her qualify for Sunday's finals, where she placed sixth overall.
