Recap of UAB's Regular Season

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Bowling team wrapped up the regular season at the Music City Classic last weekend in Nashville, Tenn. The Blazers wrapped up their season 42-60 through 10 tournaments including – MEAC #1, MEAC #2 and ISC/ITC Sectionals.
MUSIC CITY CLASSIC RECAP
Looking back at last weekend, UAB finished 22nd overall (2-11). The Blazers defeated Wright State (849-834) in game one of Baker matches followed by dropping games to Maryville, Carthage, Kentucky Wesleyan and St. Francis. In traditional matches, UAB defeated Kentucky Wesleyan (981-909) and ended the day ranked 20th entering bracket play on Sunday. During bracket play, the Blazers dropped games to St. Francis (4-2), Kentucky Wesleyan (4-2) and Wright State (4-3) to finish in 22nd place.
Keagan Trexler placed Top 20 (17th) after bowling four 200 or better games with a highest of 228. This is Trexler's fourth time placing in the Top 20 which includes a sixth overall finish at MEAC#2, and her second time bowling four 200+ games.
REGULAR SEASON REVIEW
There were many highlights throughout the regular season including two top team finishes. UAB placed second at the Sonic Boom Tournament after defeating ranked opponent Louisiana Tech along with four Blazers who finished in the Top 25 and two bowlers who collected three 200+ games. At the Hornet Classic, UAB finished third with all competitors finishing in the individual Top 15 standings including Kacey Marshal and Madelynn Oliva placed Top 5. During the MEAC competitions, the Blazers tied for fourth at MEAC #1 and were seeded 6th at MEAC #2.
