BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis (3-2) put together a dominant performance in a 6-1 win over North Alabama (1-3) on Friday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center. The Blazers have won three matches in a row after an 0-2 start.
The Blazers took the doubles point for the fourth-straight match with Michal Lusovsky and Georgios Nouchakis picking up a win on Court One while Roman Postolka and Parker Bradbary took care of business on Court Three.
Michal Lusovsky and Noah Malige each continued their perfect starts in singles play this season. Lusovsky won in straight sets on Court One (6-4, 6-3) to give UAB a 2-0 advantage and his doubles partner, Georgios Nouchakis followed shortly afterwards with a straight-sets victory on Court Five.
Malige gave UAB the deciding 4-0 lead with a three-set win on Court Five (6-2, 3-6, 6-3). Vojtech Podzemny picked up his own three-set win (6-0, 3-6, 7-5) before Roman Postolka secured his straight-set win (7-6 [8-6], 6-4) on Court Two. Thanos Spyropoulos could not secure the sweep for UAB, falling in a third-set tiebreaker to Nazar Fedoryshyn (7-6, 3-6, 10-6).

The Blazers will travel to Jacksonville State on Tuesday, February 14 to face off with the Gamecocks at 1 p.m. CT.
