UAB Men’s Tennis Releases Spring 2024 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis has announced the full 2024 spring schedule that will open on January 12. The Blazers are in their first season under head coach Ezequiel Gils.
UAB will open the season with four straight road matches in January against Memphis (Jan. 12), SMU (Jan. 15), Alabama State (Jan. 20) and North Alabama (Jan. 27).
The Blazers will then host five matches at the Hoover Met Tennis complex in February, beginning with Tennessee Tech (Feb. 1). After a trip to South Alabama (Feb. 4), the Blazers will host a pair of matches on Feb. 11 against Charlotte and Southern Miss before traveling to Georgia State (Feb. 16). UAB will close the month at home with matches against Chattanooga (Feb. 18) and UCF (Feb. 25).
After a home doubleheader against Mississippi Valley State (March 5), The Blazers will travel to Florida for a trio of matches against FGCU (March 9), UNC Asheville (March 10), and South Florida (March 12). UAB will then face Alabama A&M in Huntsville (March 15) before hosting Furman (March 16). The following week, UAB is set to travel to Houston to take on Rice (March 22) and then face Wichita State in a neutral site match (March 23).
The Blazers will close the regular season with a trio of matches in Birmingham against Belmont (March 31), at Samford (April 3) and then at home against Jacksonville State (April 12). The AAC Tournament is scheduled for April 18-21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
