Madison Colston Claims Second MEAC Rookie of the Week in Week 3

BIRMINGHAM – Madison Colston has been named the MEAC Rookie of the Week for Week 3 for her performance in the Destination Orlando hosted by Sacred Heart.
This is the second time Madison Colston has been awarded the MEAC Rookie of the Week, with her first coming in Week 1 from her performance in the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane, making her the only player in the MEAC who has been awarded the honor twice this season.
In the Destination Orlando, Colston averaged 19.95 pins per frame, 50.7 strike percentage and averaged 9.06 pins on first ball. In Baker play, Colston averaged 19.62 pins per frame and an 80.1 fill percentage. Individually, Colston finished 25th overall - which was second best for UAB behind Savannah Schneider who finished 24th - leading UAB to a tenth place finish.
Colston and UAB play next in the MEAC #1 hosted by Coppin State to open conference play in Baltimore, Md. on Nov. 11 through Nov. 12.
