Madison Colston is Awarded Fourth MEAC Rookie of the Week in Week 6

BIRMINGHAM – Madison Colston has added on to her award total this season, as Colston has been named the MEAC Rookie of the Week for Week 6 for her performance in Montgomery, Ala. at the ISTAP Hornet Classic hosted by Alabama State.
This is the fourth time Colston has been awarded the MEAC Rookie of the Week, previously having won it in Week 1 from her performance in the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane, Week 3 for her performance in the Destination Orlando hosted by Sacred Heart and in Week 5 for her efforts in MEAC #1.
Colston now leads the MEAC in Rookie of the Week honors by a large margin, as the next closest competitor – Victoria Davis from Coppin State – has currently been nominated twice.
In the ISTAP Hornet Classic, Colston averaged 18.36 pins per frame, a 41.4 strike percentage and averaged 8.69 pins on first ball to help lead the Blazers to a second-place finish, the teams highest of the season.
The Blazers return to the lanes this Spring on Jan. 19 through Jan. 21 in Saint Louis, Mo. at the Columbia 300 Satins Invitational hosted by Maryville.
