UAB Bowling Announces 2023-24 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Bowling Head Coach Michelle Crews has announced the 2023-24 schedule, which includes five matches in the Fall and six in the Spring.
UAB received votes in this year's National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) preseason poll, placing them at #35 nationally to start the season.
The Blazers return seven members of last year's team, Jillian Hulsey, Keagan Trexler, Madelynn Oliva, Kacey Marshal, Savannah Schneider and Shauna Rodgers, and welcome in five new players – Amber Longwell, Gabrielle "Zoe" Moore, Katie Jamison, Victoria Cobos and Madison Colston.
Longwell, Jamison and Coltson enter as true freshman, while Moore comes via transfer from Alabama State and Cobos comes as a transfer from Prairie View A&M.
The Blazers open their season with an exhibition against Jacksonville State on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m., and then jump into regular season play on Oct. 13 at the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane in Harahan, La.
Following the Colonial Lanes Classic, UAB travels to Orlando, Fl. on Oct. 27 to play in the Destination Orlando hosted by Sacred Heart.
Up next, the Blazers travel to Baltimore, Md. on Nov. 11 to participate in MEAC #1 hosted by Coppin State, and close out their Fall schedule with an in-state trip to Montgomery, Ala. to play in the Alabama State hosted Hornet Classic on Nov. 18.
The Spring portion of the Blazers schedule begins on Jan. 19 with a trip to Deptford, N. J. for the Northeast Classic hosted by Sacred Heart.
On Feb. 2, the Blazers travel to St. Louis, Mo. for the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational hosted by Maryville. Following the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational, on Feb. 9 the team goes to Lockport, Il. to play in the Flyer Classic hosted by Lewis.
The month of Feb. is concluded by the MEAC #2 in Virginia Beach, Va. hosted by Norfolk State on Feb. 17, and then the NCAT Stallings Invitational in Greensboro, N.C. by North Carolina A&T.
The regular season is wrapped up by the USBC ITC/ITS Sectionals on March 8.
Postseason competitions will be comprised of the MEAC championship from March 21 through March 24, the NCAA Regionals from April 5 to April 6 and the NCAA National Championship from April 11 through April 13.
The final match of the 2023-24 season will be the USBC ITC/ISC National Championship from April 15 through April 21.
