Women’s Golf Places 10th at Edisto Island Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team finished 10th out of 16 teams at the Edisto Island Invitational this past Monday and Tuesday at the Plantation Course in Edisto Island, S.C.
Highlighted by her career low -2 (68) in the second round, Brooke Wagner led the Blazers by tying for 24th place overall. Wagner shot 77-68-74 (219) and shot +9 for the tournament.
Anna Krieger moved up 18 spots in the final round with an even par 70 and finished in a tie for 36th overall (75-77-70 = 222, +12).
Ceci Lococo and Grace Sinclair were one shot behind Krieger as they both tied for 40th at +13. Lococo shot 75-76-72, while Sinclair was 74-76-74.
Tori Waters rounded out UAB's efforts in a tie for 86th. Playing as an individual, Ava Schwartz tied for 77th.
College of Charleston, who hosted the tournament, won the team title at +6. Louise Reau for Georgia Southern was the individual champ at -5.
