UAB Bowling Starts the 2023 Season at Sonic Boom Invite

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Bowling team is set to start the 2023 portion of its season at the Sonic Boom Invite hosted by Jackson State University. The Blazers will travel to Jackson, Miss. for the tournament which begins on Jan. 20-22.
LOOKING BACK
The last time UAB participated in this tournament was in 2016. The Blazers forced a game seven versus Tulane in the championship match but fell short 4-3 to finish second overall.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
On Friday, five total pinfall baker matches will be played beginning at 11 a.m. followed by five sets of traditional team games on Saturday with a start time of 9:35 a.m. Sunday, teams will play three rounds of best 4-out-of-7 baker matches in bracket style. Sunday's start time is set for 8:25 a.m. with award ceremonies to follow once the final game is completed.
The Blazers competing this weekend are: Keagan Trexler, Jillian Hulsey, Maddie Oliva, Kacey Marshal, Savannah Schneider, Jamie Krasnigor and Shauna Rodgers.
