CHICAGO – The UAB Cross Country team finished the day in the Lakefront Invitational with a 10th place finish early Friday afternoon.

The Green and Gold participated in the Maroon Women's 6K, where the first Blazer to cross the line was Lauren Charlton. Charlton finished 26th with a time of 22:23.12, followed by freshman Kyra Hayes with a 29th place finish for the Blazers with a time of 22:37.44. The third Blazer to cross the finish line for UAB was Kathleen Schellman with a time of 23:26.99.

The Blazers return to action on their home soil, hosting the Blazer Classic at the Montevallo Cross Country Course on Oct. 14. The women's 6K is slated to start at 9 a.m.
