UAB Football Home Schedule Preview – Game 4: Charlotte

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB football team remains in Birmingham following its Homecoming game to host Charlotte on Oct. 15 at Protective Stadium for UAB Family Weekend.
The game against Charlotte concludes the first half of the season for the Blazers. UAB plays four of its first six games at home and finishes the year with four its final six contests on the road.
UAB and Charlotte will be meeting for the third time with each team winning one game on their home field. The 49ers took the inaugural game of the series back in 2017 with a 25-24 overtime victory. UAB repaid the favor in 2018 with a 28-7 victory at Legion Field.
UAB and Charlotte will continue to play conference games in the future as both schools are set to join the American Athletic Conference on July 1, 2023.
The Blazers invite all families of current UAB students out to Protective Stadium on Oct. 15. Family Weekend features tickets to the game, a Fall Family Weekend t-shirt and bag and access to the Family Weekend tailgate for $55 per person. For more information, visit www.uab.edu/familyweekend.

Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets, and fan experiences are available on a first come, first served basis to any home football game during the 2022 season.

The Blazers return seven starters on offense and nine starters or co-starters on defense. UAB has 43 wins over the last five years, which is the most of any team in Conference USA during that span.
