Lusovsky Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

DALLAS – UAB junior men's tennis player Michal Lusovsky was named to the 2022 Conference USA Men's Tennis All-Academic Team on Thursday afternoon.
Lusovsky, a junior from Prerov, Czech Republic, becomes UAB's first C-USA All-Academic Team honoree since Nikolai Manchev in 2019. He holds a 3.62 GPA as he pursues a bachelor's degree in finance.
Lusovsky leads the Blazers with a 13-6 singles record this season, winning all 13 of his matches on court one. The Blazer ace has won three straight and nine of his past 10 matches on court one, earning a win over three straight aces from in-state schools. In doubles, he holds an 8-9 overall record, playing all but one of his doubles matches on court one.
UAB will conclude its home schedule on Friday when the Blazers host Tennessee Tech and West Alabama for a doubleheader at the Lakeshore Tennis Courts. UAB's opening match against Tennessee Tech is scheduled for noon, while the Blazers' final match of the day is set to begin at 4 p.m.
