UAB Bowling to Compete at MEAC Championships

Chesapeake, Virginia- The UAB bowling team travels to Chesapeake, Virginia to compete in the MEAC Bowling Championships competition. The three day event runs March 25-27.
In their last competition, The Blazers placed twenty-fifth at the Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt University.
Junior Katie Hurley led the Blazers with a 52nd place finish totaling a 980 total pinfall with an average of 196.00 over 5 games.
Competing with the Blazers this weekend is Coppin State, Delaware State, Howard, Maryland Eastern-Shore, Monmouth, Morgan State, Norfolk State and North Carolina A&T.
The Blazers enters the championships seeded sixth in the MEAC. Each match leading to the championship match will be contested in mega match format, a best two-out-of-three in traditional team play, baker total pinfall, and best-of-seven baker games.
