Bowling Places 25th at Music City Classic

SMYRNA, Tenn. - The UAB bowling team placed 25th in its final regular-season tournament of the 2022 spring season at the Music City Classic, hosted by.
The Blazers opened with baker games on Friday. The Blazers started with back-to-back-to-back wins over Drury University (969-950), Stephen F. Austin (1,020-881) and North Central College (797-784). They dropped a match to North Carolina A&T (837-1,007) before picking up their fourth and final win of the day over Alabama A&M (856-788).
Saturday saw five traditional matches. UAB went 0-5 in that stretch with losses to Emmanuel College (822-837), Tusculum University (882-951), Sacred Heart University (865-923), Central Missouri (933-906) and McKendree University (918-1,062).
On Sunday, the Blazers concluded the tournament with a 2-1 record in the playoffs with wins over Carthage College (1,116-990) and Tusculum (972-825)
Katie Hurley led the Blazers individually with a 52nd place finish with a 196 average with a game-high 237 pinfall in game two.
Up next, the Blazers close the season in Chesapeake, VA competing in the MEAC Bowling Championships on March 25-27.
