UAB Women's Golf Places 16th at Tulane Classic

BIRMINGHAM - Sophomore Emilia Smith led the Blazers with a 43rd place finish individually as the UAB Women's golf team concluded the Tulane Classic on Tuesday afternoon.
Smith (81-77-79 = 237) shot 21 over and paced the Blazers for a fourth time out of five tournaments this season. Freshman Erika Allen (87-81-74 = 242, +26) finished in a tie for 58th, while her sister Karlee Allen (91-79-81 = 251, +35) placed in a tie for 78th. Senior Lexie Dawson (82-83-89 = 254, +38) finished in a tie for 85th and Marilyn Steed (93-86-84 = 263, +47) rounded out the Blazers' lineup with a 90th place finish.
The Blazers placed 16th out of the 17 teams that competed. North Texas won the competition followed by #10 Michigan, UTSA, Texas State, and Clemson.
