UAB Men's Tennis Releases Spring Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis head coach Justin DeSanto released the 2023 spring schedule on Monday afternoon. The 23-match slate opens on the road at Alabama on January 22 in Tuscaloosa. All home matches will be played at the Hoover Met Tennis Complex.
"Super excited about the schedule coach (Trey) Morris and I have put together for this spring season." DeSanto said, "Most of our schedule is made up of teams who are ranked inside the top 100 in the country, with two power 5 teams: Alabama and Mississippi State."
"We are most looking forward to hosting 12 home matches this year at the Hoover Met Tennis Complex. With so many teams coming to town at such a perfect fan-friendly facility, we know we will be able to deliver a top-tier product to our fans. I encourage all Blazer fans to come out to the Hoover Met to see exciting high-level tennis and cheer our guys on."
UAB's slate features nine matches against in-state opponents, including six at home.
The Blazers road schedule includes many high level opponents, most notably SEC foes Alabama and Mississippi State.
Four of the Blazers' Division I opponents reached the 2022 NCAA Tournament in Mississippi State, Georgia State, Youngstown State and Tennessee Tech. UAB will face both Georgia State and Youngstown State at home.
