Conference USA Adds Beach Volleyball as Sponsored Sport

BIRMINGHAM – Conference USA has announced the addition of beach volleyball as a sponsored sport to its league and the UAB beach volleyball program will begin competing in this league for the 2021-22 season.
In conjunction with the CCSA, the new C-USA is comprised of UAB, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Southern Miss, Georgia State, ULM and Coastal Carolina. All schools except Coastal were previous members of the CCSA.
The 2022 C-USA Beach Volleyball Championship will be held in conjunction with the CCSA Championship April 28-30 in Huntsville, Ala., at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex.
As the sport of beach volleyball continues to grow and inevitably moves towards automatic qualifiers for NCAAs, the Blazers will now contend with these six schools for the foreseeable future (Note: The current NCAA Championship format is the top three teams from the East, the top three teams from the West and two at-large berths compete for the title).
