UAB Bowling Earns Individual and Team NTCA All-Academic Honors

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB bowling team was recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association for their academic achievements during the 2020-21 season.
Six Blazers, Samantha Johnson, Jamie Krasnigor, Haley Kvarnberg, Elise London, Katie Hurley and Jillian Hulsey, were named NTCA All-Academic scholar athletes.
Individual honors are awarded to student athletes with a 3.4 GPA or higher for the academic year.
UAB also qualified for the All-Academic Team Award with a 3.54 cumulative GPA, one-of -59 programs honored.
"This team stepped up in more ways than one," head coach Michelle Crews said. "I'm very proud of their accomplishments."
In March, seven Blazers were named to the MEAC All-Academic Team.
UAB also had nine bowlers named to the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, while Hulsey and Kvarnberg were awarded the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
