A Letter to Blazer Nation From Director of Athletics Mark Ingram

Blazer Nation,
UAB has recently been named America's number one best large employer by Forbes, which is a tribute to everyone associated with this great institution. The people that make up our Blazer community have come together to pull us through an extremely challenging year, and everyone associated with UAB should have a tremendous sense of pride for this incredible recognition.
As the UAB Athletics' winter sports seasons wind down and the spring seasons ramp up, I am grateful for our staff who remains in overdrive to ensure our student-athletes can continue to compete safely, while having the opportunity to pursue their athletic dreams and represent UAB in a first-class manner.
Men's Basketball concluded their season and finished with the highest KenPom ranking to close their regular season since the 2010-11 season. The 13 regular season C-USA wins, and the five series sweeps, were the most in Conference USA. Head coach Andy Kennedy also has the most wins of any first-year coach in the country. The best is yet to come under Coach Kennedy's leadership.
Men's basketball season tickets for the 2021-22 season are already on sale. Current basketball season ticket holders can click here to renew their original 2020-21 seat locations prior to social distancing adjustments. Click here to purchase new 2021-22 season which start as low as $100 with the Blaze's Corner season ticket. We are making plans for full capacity again during the 2021-22 academic year, so help us return Bartow Arena to one of the best home court advantages in college basketball next season.
Women's Basketball concluded their season in Frisco but continued to battle all season long after losing three impact players early in the season. This young team gained valuable experience and will be a force in C-USA again next year under head coach Randy Norton.
UAB Volleyball is competing well under first year head coach Betsy Freeburg and has already exceeded the most C-USA wins since the 2013 season. In addition, our women's tennis team has won six straight matches leading into Conference USA play later this week.
The 2021 UAB Football priority seat deadline for the inaugural season at Protective Stadium is just over two weeks away. Commit NOW so you can take advantage of priority access to the best locations during the seating and parking selections that begin in April following the April 1st deadline. A Protective Stadium Letter of Intent secures an appointment time during the 2021 seat selection process, or fans can click here to purchase 2021 UAB Football season tickets which start as low as $75. Continue building your priority by becoming a Blazer Boosters member.
If you are interested in securing seats for the historic 2021 season at Protective Stadium, you are strongly encouraged to make your commitment prior to the April 1, 2021 football priority seat deadline to have access to the best seats. Individual seat selection times will be provided to those making commitments prior to the deadline and will be based on the Blazer Boosters Priority Points System.
Thank you for your incredible support of UAB student-athletes. We are anticipating our best year yet in 2021 and appreciate each of you for being an instrumental piece to our success… Go Blazers!
