HOOVER, Ala. – The UAB cross country team hosted their annual Blazer Classic at Veterans Park in Hoover. The Blazers finished 11^th in their first 6k race of the season.

Laura Thompson led the Blazers finishing (29^th,22:46.05) in the competition. Followed by Senior Agok Ayuen (42^nd, 23:07:92) and Britney Johnson (64^th, 23:33.38) rounding off the top three Blazers.

The foursome of Kathleen Schellman (75^th, 23:44.87), Olivia McAnulty (76^th, 23:48.05), Lauren Robinson (79^th, 23:52.02), and Gracie Sears (104^th, 24:59.67) rounded off the top 125 runners of the competition.

Up next for the UAB cross country team will be the Conference USA Championship in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday October 30^th.
